The city of Avignon has two main train station:

1. Gare d'Avignon Centre (Avignon Central Train Station)
2. Gare TVG (High-speed train station)

The Avignon Central Train Station is located just outside the city ramparts, at the south end of Cours Jean Jaurez.  It is a pleasant walk from the station to the city centre.

Gare TVG is located on the outskirts of the city. There is a shuttle bus that connects this new station to Avignon city centre. A ticket costs 1.20 euro.  Alternative, a taxi ride to city centre will cost around 15 euro.
